Millworks Shop Coordinator

SMG Millworks is a high-end Kitchen, Millworks & Cabinetry Company Located in Nassau, Bahamas. The company Specializes in Custom designs for all facets in the Millwork Industry. The Company has been in operation for five years and it currently has a staff of 25 personnel ranging from apprentices to fully skilled craftsmen.

We are in the market for an operations coordinator with an extensive millwork and Cabinetry background to oversee all facets of the operation of the company. The applicant must have at least 10 years experience in a custom millworks and/or furniture manufacturing shop, with emphasis on:

A. Sales – the ability to attract new business and to close on referred business

B. Customer Relations - maintaining and building client/customer relations,

C. Design – to work with clients on design concepts, and then turn them into working drawings, by hand or AutoCAD.

D. Scheduling –to be able to schedule staff, procurement of materials and schedules of jobs for installs.

E. Training – ability to assess craft skill level and to provide or arrange the ongoing on the job training of personnel at each level

F. Pricing – ability to efficiently estimate the material, labor and overall job cost as a basis for calculating the sales price

G. Quality Control – to inspect to ensure that projects are completed within the design specifications. Maintain and implement where necessary, a quality control program,

H. Communication – must be very strong in the spoken and written English Language

The Applicant must be willing to relocate to the Bahamas for a minimum of a two-year contract.
